Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) isn’t just for adults. In fact, it’s the perfect activity for kids!
When it comes to self defense, BJJ empowers a smaller individual to fight against a larger opponent. But the advantages don’t stop there – BJJ helps kids gain confidence, learn discipline, focus their energy, foster respect for others, and be a part of a one-of-a-kind community full of future friends and mentors! Which is why Category Five Jiu-Jitsu offers Kids Jiu-Jitsu programs for different age ranges and skill levels. Currently we are offering the Kids Jiu-Jitsu for Ages 7-12.
Kids Jiu-Jitsu (Ages 7-12)
Our Kids program is tailored to children aged 7 to 12 years old. At this age, children are beginning to develop more advanced motor skills and are capable of learning more complex techniques. Our program is designed to challenge your child while also providing a fun and engaging learning environment.
Our classes focus on teaching your child the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu while also developing their physical abilities. We teach techniques that improve strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. We also incorporate drills and exercises that help improve their speed and agility.
In addition to physical development, our Kids program also promotes important life skills such as discipline, focus, and respect. We teach your child the importance of setting goals and working towards achieving them. We encourage positive social interactions and teamwork to develop confidence and self-esteem.
Our instructors are experienced in working with children and understand the unique needs of this age group. We create a safe, supportive environment where your child can learn and grow. Your child will develop valuable skills that will benefit them both on and off the mat.
Provides A Safe Environment
We enforce a strict policy of acceptance, respect, and care for others that are incorporated into everything we do – whether it’s student-instructor interactions, warm-ups, sparring, or student friendships. From day one, we encourage students to express any questions and concerns they may have. We believe that communication is the key to creating a healthy and uplifting training environment.
